Kenneth J. Stone, 67, a resident of Benton, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was an active member of Benton Church of Christ until his health declined. He put others before himself and was loving and caring.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Spence and Ruby McClurd Stone.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Reynolds Stone; daughters, Becky (Alan) Bates and Christie (Mike) Tankersley; grandchildren, Mia Tankersley, Kayla Tankersley, Rylee Bates, Savana Bates, Cody Bates and Jordan Culberson; sisters, Joyce Pettit and Nina Bryant. Several nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Frank Lowery and Minister Eric Bender officiating. Interment will follow in Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the funeral home prior to the service.
