Kenneth "Kenny" Edward McDowell, 54, of Reliance, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 12, 2022, after a brief illness. Kenny accepted the Lord as his Savior on Monday, November 7, 2022 after family prayer with Pastor Chad Maxwell. Kenny departed this life peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Kenny loved playing his guitar, singing, dancing, and fishing. On Friday nights, you could usually find Kenny down at the Reliance Fly and Tackle store enjoying the music. While he was a good mechanic, Kenny worked at Jackson Chair Company for more than 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Kenneth Gail McDowell; stepdad, Joe Danny Hicks and half-brother, Kenneth Stacy McDowell

Left to cherish the many memories include his loving mother, Betty Jane Hicks; daughters, Makayla (Alex) Taylor and Chyanne (Jessie) Fox; half-sister, Kelly Haynes; brothers, Joey (Victoria) Hicks, Danny (Katy) Hicks, Shaun (Tasha) Hicks, Tim (Kailee Rickman) Hicks; grandchildren, Eli, Abby, Gracie, and Wyatt. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2022, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Maxwell officiating.

Family and friends will gather from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
