The night sky in our part of the world got a little darker on Monday evening, October 25, 2021. One of the brightest stars in our galaxy, Kimberly "Kimmie" Snyder, departed this life unexpectedly at her residence.

Kimmie was born on February 29, 2020, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Ms. Jennifer Grant and Mr. Jonathan Snyder. She is the answer to their prayers, and they waited for her birth with joyful expectation. During her brief visit on Earth, she enjoyed anything that involved water, whether it be the evening baths given by Ma-Ma or splashing in the pool with her brother who was her best friend, cuddling with her soft toys, and being held close by her parents, grandparents, and siblings. Her smile was vibrant and her love strong, but one of the most precious of memories she left with us, was making sure everyone received a goodnight kiss from Little Kimmie before bedtime. She was loved deeply by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Jerry Lee and Eva Dean Snyder and Roger Grant, Sr.; one uncle, Richard "Richie" Grant.

Left to cherish the many memories include her loving parents, Jennifer Grant and Jonathan Snyder; adored siblings, Kylie Dixon and Jackson Snyder; cherished grandparents, Jerry Lee Snyder, Sharon Dickerson, Isaac Boston, Michelle (Michael) Gent, and Richard (Renee) Grant; great-grandmother, Patricia Grant; aunts and uncles, Sara (Travis) Snider, Sara Davis, Arianna Trevino, Nicole Grant, Benjamin Grant, Jamie Wilson, and Eddie Gent; cousins, Brooklyn Snider, Sarah Snider, Madi Snider, Kenzie Snider, Ava Davis, and Aria Trevino.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, with Reverend Robby Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow at Benton Memorial Gardens with her family serving as pallbearers.

Family and friends will gather from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
