Kristy Leigh Mobus ne Halyburton, 45, of Chattanooga, departed this life peacefully on January 21, 2023, at a local healthcare facility.

She was born on February 1, 1977, in Asheville, North Carolina to Thomas V. and Judy Woodard Halyburton. Throughout life, Kristy grew to be a beloved wife, daughter, sister and friends, always having a smile on her face to brighten each room she entered.

Later in life, she was a dedicated and faithful volunteer with the CASA program of Stanislaus County. Kristy fondly remembered her mission trips to Ukraine and working with her knitting groups while cherishing to the fullest each friend she made along lifes journey.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kelvin Taylor; sister, Cindi Halyburton; nephew, Zeb Wells; and grandparents, Buford and Lyda Woodard, and Alex and Jean Halyburton.

Left to cherish the many memories include her loving parents, Tom and Judy Halyburton; siblings, Carrie (Jeff) Wells, Chad (Lori) Halyburton, and Katy Halyburton; beloved nieces and nephew, Whitney (Nathalie), Tegan (Mo), Rachel (Timmy), Brenna, and Ian. Several great nieces, nephews, and a host of friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be held May 6, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Benton.
