Larry Leon Blackwell, 56, of Benton, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013 at a local hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd (Dago) Blackwell, nephew Andrew (Andy) Foster. Survivors include his wife, DeAnna Taylor Blackwell of Benton; mother, Dorothy Thomason Blackwell of Benton; daughter, Jennifer Stewart and husband, Scott of Benton; grandson, Hunter Stewart of Benton; brothers, Jerry Blackwell and wife, JoAnn and Roy Blackwell and wife, Ruth, all of Benton; sisters, Barbara Randolph and Brenda Foster and husband, Robert all of Benton; father and mother-in-law, Harold and Glenda Taylor of Cleveland; brother-in-law, Jason Taylor of Cleveland; and special friends, Harley Quinn and Floyd Blackwell, both of Benton, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Lee Ingram officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Old Ocoee Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. His family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
