Larry Joe Waters, 54, a resident of Ocoee, passed away Saturday, December 06, 2008, at his home. He was a teacher with the Polk County School System and a member of Beach Springs Baptist Church in Oldfort. His parents, Jessie and Patsy Thomas Waters, preceded him in death as well as his brother, Charles Waters.

He is survived by his wife, Irina Waters of Ocoee; two sons: Daniel Waters and Paul Waters; and step-son, Jamil Kassenova.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Campbell officiating. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in Mount Liberty Cemetery concluding with a white dove release ceremony. Danny Frazier, Tommy Frazier, Monte Frazier, Kenny Frazier, Mark Pickel and David Brackett will serve as pallbearers.

His family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
