Laura Frances Bailey, 73, of Benton, went home to be with the Lord on November 23, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 27, 1950, in Jasper, Alabama, to the late T.O. and Reba Talbott. She was a dental assistant graduate and had a landscaping certificate from Chattanooga State Community College. Frances was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church of Benton. She enjoyed music, playing piano, guitar, fiddle, and bass guitar. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing at church and with her family. Frances enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and taking care of the flowers in her yard. She also loved to read, cross-stitch, sew, and was a gifted wood carver. Frances will be missed by her pet cat, Petey.

In addition to her parents, T.O and Reba Talbott, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Bailey; brothers, Robert Talbott, Perry Talbott, John Talbott, and Jim Talbott; sisters, Mary Bowen, and Janie Lakins.

Left to cherish the many memories include her beloved daughter, Christy (Chris) McFarland of Benton; granddaughters, Katie Frances McFarland of Benton, and Kara (Dakotah) Owens of Cleveland; one great-granddaughter, Kourtney Owens. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends also survive.

A private graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery.
