L. B. Morgan, 79, a life long resident of Benton, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009 at the family residence. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gearldean Leamon Morgan; parents, Bert and Daisy Haulk Morgan; sisters, Viola Cronan; and brother Norris Morgan. He is survived by his sister, Opal Cross of Benton; loving care givers, Bill and Mary Cronan and Pete and Velar Morgan; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Pete Morgan officiating. Interment will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 10:00 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
