Lena Wilodean Presswood Hicks, age 76, a resident of Benton, passed away Monday, January 30, 2006 in a Spring City healthcare facility. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Hicks was the daughter of the late Parker and Nell Norwood Presswood and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Eldon E. Goble and one brother, Hoyt W. Presswood.

She is survived by her husband, James Hicks of Benton; son, Charles M. Goble of Benton; step children and spouses: Troy and Kelly Hicks of Benton, Donna Climer of Cleveland, Tammy and Donnie Moore of Decatur and Teresa Mantooth of Etowah; five grandchildren: Kayla Mantooth, Jared Hicks, Holly Moore, Austin Lee and Tyler Lee.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Antioch Baptist Church with Reverend Hoyle Ellis officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Higgins Funeral Home.
