Levieta R. Freeman, 68, of Cleveland, departed this life peacefully November 29, 2024, amongst her beloved family.
She was born on December 10, 1955, in Cleveland, Tennessee, to the late Lester "Bud" and Veva Joyce Judd Haulk
Throughout life, Levieta enjoyed gardening, crafting, outdoors, singing and drinking coffee with her friends and family. She was faithful to Jesus and her church and was a loving and devoted foster parent for 12 years. Levieta was very adamant and an advocate for Women Against Domestic Violence.
In addition to her parents, Lester "Bud" and Veva Joyce Judd Haulk, she was preceded in death by her son, Brian Ross Bankston; stepfather, Daul A. Haulk; brother, Lynn Kersey; sister, Janice McClelland.
Left to cherish the many memories include her loving husband, Reed Freeman; daughters, Jessica (Clyde) Oaks, Nina (Andy) Richards, Monica Walker; foster daughter, Courtney Pankey and her children, Cypris and Alisa.; many foster children that she gave safe haven to during her 12 years as a foster parent journey; grandchildren, Sade (Taylor) Griggs, Lea (Dakota) Emmerson, Myka Richards, Jeremiah Kidwell, Oliver Richards; great grandchildren, Jace and Gatlin; her husbands children, Jeremy Freeman, Josh (Melissa) Freeman, Lance Freeman, Hailey Braden; step grandchildren, Jagger, Maverick, Acadia and Gracie; brothers, Andy (Tammy) Haulk, Thomas (Nellie) Haulk; two nieces, three nephews, six great nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew. A host of friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home, with Pastor Nolan Rumble officiating. Interment will follow at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery with Clyde Oaks, Chandler Ingram, TJ Parrish, Jeffery Haulk, Josh Freeman and Jeremy Freeman serving as pallbearers.
Family and friends will gather from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
