Linda Darnell Morris, 79, departed this life peacefully on January 13, 2024, at Ocean Springs Health & Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Ocean Springs, MS., where she was a resident since 2017.

She was born on February 28, 1944, in Athens, Tennessee, to the late Vestal Newton and Edith Wilson. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, talking on her cell phone, eating good food, and having her hair done.

In addition to her parents, Vestal Newton, and Edith Wilson, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Felton Donald Dunn and her second husband, Leonard Gene Morris.

Left to cherish the many memories include her beloved son, Donald Ray (Brenda) Dunn of Ocean Springs, MS.; grandson, Christopher Ryan (Paula Sanchez) Dunn of Mobile, AL.; granddaughter, Jessica Alyse Dunn of Ocean Springs, MS.; great-granddaughter, Audrey Peyton Dunn of Ocean Springs, MS.; and sister, Shirley Cooper of Cambridge, OH. Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends also survive.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Benton Memorial Gardens.
