Lonnie William Bishop, 59, a resident of Benton, passed away Monday, May 14, 2012 at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary (Shelton) Bishop. He is survived wife, Karen S. Bishop of Benton; children: Chad W.(Mary) Bishop, Lonnie R.(Brandy) Bishop, Robert(Brandy) Bishop and Shelia Black; grandchildren: Nathaniel R. Bishop, Silas K Bishop, Anthony Bishop, Preston Bishop, Alexander Bishop, Isaiah Bishop, Airel Bishop, Brittanie Bishop,Charity Bishop, and Dakota Bishop, brothers: Wayne Bishop, Brownlow Bishop, Sonny Bishop, sisters: Bonnie Bishop and Helen Bishop. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Thursday May 17, 2012 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Ray Cheatam and Reverend Carl Haulk officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with Chris Martin, Joe Treatham, Roy Treatham, Leonard Treatham, Daniel Treatham, and Eric Lydtin serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2-4 on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
