Loretta May Farmer, 81, a resident of Delano and a former resident of Detroit, Michigan, passed away Monday, July 07, 2008 in a Maryville hospital. She was of the Baptist faith. She was retired from Triangle Book Binder.

Mrs. Farmer was the daughter of the late Alfred Meuter and Goldie Gibbons Meuter and was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis M. Farmer and sisters, Dorothy Meuter and Lois Rumhor.

She is survived by her children and spouses: Beverly and Ronald Westfall of Delano and William and Elizabeth Kendall of Etowah; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Joan Meyers of Frazier, Michigan and Alma Meuter of Georgia.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Kinzel Hooker officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008 prior to the service.
