On August 22, 2025, Mark "Pulley" Presswood, responded to his last call and joined his loved ones in Heaven. Mark was 58 years old and a lifelong resident of Benton, TN.

Mark graduated from Polk County High School (1986) and began his lifelong dedication to the service of others. Whether it be answering late night calls to help with a housefire to working on Mountain View Farm, Mark was dependable and always willing to serve.

Mark was a dedicated member and Co-Chairman of West Polk Fire and Rescue and spent 28 years serving his community as a medical first responder and Rescue Tech. Mark had a special passion for the West Polk Fire and Rescue Explorer Program, working to establish this group that sponsors and develops junior firefighters.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Connie (Hamby) Presswood and sister, Donna (Mickey) Harris.

Mark is survived by his daughter Hope Presswood, brother Paul (Ruthie) Presswood, and nephews, Rusty Wright and Jacob Presswood, uncle, Junior (Jeanette) Hamby, aunts, Lynne (Chris) Herron and Betty Hamby.  Special extended family included Dwight "Cooney" Dalton, Eric (Melinda Godfrey) Dalton, and Frances (Gary) Price.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2025, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home of Benton, with Les Moss officiating.  Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with West Polk Fire and Rescue serving as pallbearers.

His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
