Mary E. Ledford, 80, of Benton, passed away peacefully at her home, Sunday, September 12, 2021. She was a graduate of Polk County High School. Mary was a lifelong resident of Polk County and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mary loved sewing, quilting, cooking and adored her pets. She brought a whole lot of joy to many in this community.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eddie Scott Ledford; parents, Robert R. "Rat" and Anna Ruth Lillard Green; sister, Betty Jo Green.

She is survived by her son, Jeff (Sally) Ledford; daughter, Kim Wilson; grandson, Jackson (Harley) Wilson and her special friend, Doris Bates.

Her family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home of Benton. Interment will follow at Benton Memorial Gardens.
