Mildred G. Burris Dills, age 76, a resident of Benton Station Community, passed away Monday, January 2, 2006 in a local hospital. She was a member of Benton Station Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milburn and Cora Burris; sister, Mary Cleo McDonald; brothers, Austin Burris and Richard Burris.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Clyde "Earl" Dills; three children: Harold "Pete" Dills, Roy Dills and Linda Bradshaw all of Benton Station Community; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; three sisters and spouses: Dorothy and Ernest Gray, Edna and Robert Brown and JoAnn Cronan all of Benton: two brothers and spouses: William and Iva Burris of Cleveland and O'Neil and Myrtle Green of Ten Mile; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Burris of Benton and Gladys Owenby of Cleveland: brother-in-law, Johnny McDonald and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Joel Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens with the release of a flock of white doves concluding the ceremony.
