Mildred M. Day Disney, 77, of Benton, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017 in an Athens hospital. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John "J.R." Disney, mother, Maggie Lou Day, daughter, Veronica Disney Bell, and brother, Kenneth Day.

She is survived by her, daughter, Cindy Disney of Benton; and grandsons, Joshua Nathaniel Bell and David Mathew Bell, brother, Clay L. Day.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Kurt Benson and the Reverend Mike Hazelwood officiating. Interment will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Old Ocoee Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
