Paul James Gregg, 82, of Reliance, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012, at his residence. He was the present pastor of Calvary Church of God in Greasy Creek, where he served over 40 years. He was beloved by his congregation for his years of service and his gentle and loving spirit. He was preceded in death by his adoring wife of 60 years, Evelyn Thresa Gregg; sisters: Martha Miller and Charolotte Trotter; and brother, William Henry "W.H." Gregg. He is survived by one sister, Patsy Ledford; two brothers: Carl and Don Gregg; he was a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. A graveside service will be conducted at 5 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2012, at Greasy Creek Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Bragg presiding. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 today at Higgins Funeral Home. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Ronald McDonald House Charities.
