Paula Marie Tapley, 47, of Cleveland, passed away unexpectedly on April 7, 2026, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born on August 10, 1978, in Cleveland, Tennessee, to the late Kenneth and Ozella Pence Chastain. Throughout her life, she always made it a priority to spend time with her kids, who were her whole heart. Paula will be deeply missed by her children and those who knew her. A few of her fondest memories were going out to eat with her family and spending time with her dog, Spiggy-Pooh.

In addition to her parents, Kenneth and Ozella Chastain, she was preceded in death by one uncle, Wayne (Sally) Chastain; and one grandson, Elijah Privett.

Left to cherish the many memories include her three children, Ashley Hale, Jessica Hale, and Brandon Hale; three grandchildren, Nevaeh Privett, DezaRea Nykolajyuck, and Bryson Hale; two sisters, Lora Lewis, and Pamela Miller; one brother, Eddie Herron; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on April 13, 2026, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home of Benton, with Pastor Waymond Cooper officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
