Reba Katherine Edwards Hutcheson, 78, of Benton, TN passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at Starr Regional Hospital, Athens, TN. She retired after 42 years of teaching from Benton Elementary. She loved her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren play ball. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Denny Hutcheson; parents, John and Mary Beckler Edwards.

She is survived by her sons, Dennis Hutcheson of Athens, TN and Dane Hutcheson of Benton, TN; two grandchildren, Chandler and Whitney Hutcheson; brother, Bill Edwards; sisters, Lura Ward and Wilma Jones. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, TN with the Reverend Kinzel Hooker officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2017 in Cookson Creek Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the funeral home prior to the service.
