Ricky Shelton, 64, of Benton, departed this life on November 19, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on December 12, 1956, in Athens, Tennessee to the late Johnny and Annie Patterson Shelton. Ricky had a passion for fishing throughout his life and always enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Johnny and Annie Shelton, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Angie Lane Shelton: siblings, Janet Shelton Chapman and Gene Shelton.

Left to cherish the many memories include his stepchildren, Josh Renfro and Trinity Renfro; grandsons, Cannon Renfro and Laytom Renfro; siblings, Judy (James) McTaggart and Johnnie Sue Shelton Walden.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Homer Roberts and Pastor Johnny Townsend officiating. Interment will follow at Delano Cemetery.

Family and friends will gather from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
