Robert McCurdy was born July 23, 1934. He went home to be with his heavenly Father and other family members who went before him on Wednesday, October4, 2017. He proudly served his country with the United States Army. He enjoyed building things, working with wood and gardening.

He was born and raised in Columbus, OH and moved to Old Fort, TN in 1980. He worked as an auto mechanic and a short order cook in Old Fort. He was a member of Cleveland First Church of the Nazarene.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Millie McCurdy; daughter, Christina McCurdy; parents, Robert and Helen McCurdy; brother, Douglas McCurdy.

He is survived by two sons, Rick (Marty) McCurdy who has three children and five grandchildren, Mike McCurdy; four daughters, Debbie (Ngvon) Nguyen who has three children and two grandchildren, Mary Nguyen who has three children and two grandchildren, Melinda Nguyen who has three children and two grandchildren, Angie Steele who has three children and seven grandchildren, children of Christina (deceased) Angie Thi and Mikey Hone; sister, Theresia Muzzleman; special niece, Vicki (Joseph) Morrison; his friends at Angelas Homestyle Cooking, Guarding Home Healthcare, Life Care Center of Cleveland and Athens and his church family. Several nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2017 at Cleveland First Church of the Nazarene in Cleveland, TN with Pastor B. J. Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Dill Cemetery in Old Fort, TN with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Cleveland First Church of the Nazarene in Cleveland, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to Life Care Center of Cleveland Activities Department, 3500 Keith St. NW, Cleveland, TN 37312.
