Robin Jenkins, 60, of Benton, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 in a McMinn County healthcare facility. She was employed with Veteran's Affairs in Benton for 12 years. Robin enjoyed many hobbies and also loved singing gospel music. She was a member of Cambria Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Rubell Wilcox Hayes; sister, Mary Smith; and brother, Everett D. Hayes. She is survived by her son, Dustin Jenkins and wife, Carolyn of Cleveland; special nephew, Chris Smith; special nieces, Debbie Passmore and Shannon Wilcox; and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2011 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greasy Creek Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
