It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to many, Rodney Phillip Rymer.

He was a devoted husband to his childhood sweetheart and wife of 37 years, Angie Rymer.  Rodney was a proud and loving father to Phillip Rymer and his daughter-in-law, River Rymer.

Rodney was an avid hunter and fisherman.  One of Rodney's greatest joys was riding his Harley-Davidson with family and friends. He was a gifted mechanical engineer who could fix anything and was talented in so many things. A friend to many, he never met a stranger and was always the first to offer a helping hand.

He is preceded in death by his father, Phil Rymer; his mother, Jerry Lynn Rymer Morrow; grandparents, Melvin Rymer, Blanche Rymer and Andy Price.

Rodney's memory will live on with his loving wife of 30 years, Angie, one son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and River Rymer; mother and father-in-law, Wade and Annette Wright whom he loved dearly; grandmother, Minnie Price; sister, Tina (Macholm) Bishop; brother, David (Sherry) Rymer; step-brother, Blake (Myra) Morrow; honorary parents, Sammy and Wilma Thompson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and so many friends.

A graveside committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Hiwassee Union Baptist Church Cemetery, with Gary Price, Greg Price, Keegan Rogers, Marty Wilcox, Justin Wilcox, and Brent Wilcox serving as pallbearers.

His family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Higgins Funeral Home of Benton.
