Roger "Kip" Jones, 57, a resident of Old Fort, TN passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at a local hospital. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He loved to fish and be with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Karl (Tommy) Jones; mother-in-law, Mary Black.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Black Jones; son, Josh (Miranda) Jones of Chatsworth, GA; daughter, Holly (Joe Fitzgerald) Hall of Old Fort, TN; mother, Mildred Maynor Jones of Benton, TN; sister, Karla (Ron) McCormack of Estill Springs, TN; grandchildren, Connor and Nadine Jones, Haven and Abbigail Hall, Mylhea Jones, Vallamarie, Madison and Dakota Fitzgerald; niece, Kara Rigsby; nephews, Jamie McCormack, Jacob and Caleb Thomas; father-in-law, Holland Black of Old Fort, TN; sister-in-law, Cathy Thomas; special "brother", Eddie Martin.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, TN with the Reverend Ron McCormack and Reverend Jamie McCormack officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in Oak Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2017 at the funeral home prior to the service.

Nephews and great nephews will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
