Ronald "Taz" Thomas Hunt, 61, a resident of Benton, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in a Nashville hospital. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was retired from Ford Motor Company. He spent his retired time enjoying riding his motorcycle. He was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Dorothy Gushrowski Hunt; sisters, Priscilla Foldenauer and Judy Wright; and brother, Robert A. Hunt. He is survived by his daughter, Evette Orlando and son-in-law, Ryan Vieau of Howell, MI; grandchildren, Mitchell Orlando and Olivia Orlando; sister, Paulette Kendrick and husband, Gary of White Lake, MI; brother, Darrin Hunt and wife, Mona of Ocoee; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2011 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Jimmy Parm officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Herman Cemetery with full military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
