Rosemary C. Philips, 74, a resident of Old Fort, TN passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at her residence. She was born June 1, 1940 in Waynesburg, PA. She was devoted to her family and she greatly missed her husband of 50 years after his passing. Mrs. Philips wanted people around her to be happy. She loved cooking and people would stop by daily for a delicious dinner and a laugh. Mrs. Philips was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Michael Philips; daughter, Marianne Philips; parents, John and Mary Torok. She is survived by her daughters; Teresa Roberts (companion Donnie Breedlove), Rosalie and husband Paul Mayer; grandchildren, Sarah and Derek Roberts; brother, John Torok; brother-in-law, Michael Joseph Philips; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Christ Prince of Peace Retreat Center with Father Jerry Daniels officiating.
