Sammy "BoBo" Blackwell, 44, of Benton, departed this life peacefully on February 1, 2024.

He was born on April 15, 1979, in Etowah, TN to the late Katie Blackwell and Ted Plumley.

Throughout his life, BoBo enjoyed listening to music, fishing, spoiling the kids, singing music and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Zack Plumley; grandparents, Nancy and Sam Blackwell; two uncles, Benny Blackwell and Dick Blackwell; one niece, Whitney Bridges.

Left to cherish the many memories include his five older sisters and one brother, Sandy (Scott) Farris, Ann (Rick) Bridges, Nola Burger, Lisa (Gary) Cronan, Jackie (Jackie) Elliot, and Bo Plumley; loving brother, Mike (maria) Pike; aunt, Mary (Charles) Elliot; nieces and nephews, Trisha (Carl) Warfield, Heather (Joey) Ezell, Samantha (James) Rymer, Savannah (Alf) Dunn, Laianna Farris, Nick Burger, Anthony Cronan, Raymond Plumley, Nancy Keith, Chris (Rose) Keith, Marvena (Tracy) Rodgers; great nieces and nephews, Chloe, Cambree, Corbin, Gavin, Elizabeth, Anthony, Allison, Carly, Saveah, Hannah, Hayley, Finley, Logan, Josh, Trevor, Shelby, Felisha, CJ, Audrey, Timothy, Kaleb, Nick, Ethan, Cassie, and Frog.

A Remembrance of Life service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, with Rev. Peyton Stewart and Tracy Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow at Old Ocoee Cemetery with Nick Burger, Chris Keith, Mike Pike, Wesley Cronan, Joey Ezell, Anthony Cronan, Nick Boyd, Alf Dunn, and Timothy Keith serving as pallbearers.

Family and friends will gather from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
