Shannon L. Travis, 54, of Old Fort, departed this life unexpectedly on November 29, 2024.

She was born on May 31, 1970, in Cleveland, TN.

Throughout life, Shannon was a dedicated and devoted friend who loved everyone that had the blessing of knowing her. She had a passion and a deep interest in caring for, riding and spending time with horses.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. Travis and Jean Kincaid Travis; brothers, Mike McMahan and Jason Nunley.

Left to cherish the many memories include her twin brother, Daniel (Melissa Griffin) Travis; biological mother, Bobbie J. Nunley; close family friends, Lorene Nunley, Audrey Burrell-Crisp, Briar Burrell and Johnny Trentham. A host of friends also survive.

A Remembrance of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, December 9, 2024, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home.

Family and friends will gather from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
