Terry R. Bivens, Jr., of Athens, TN passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017. He loved to hunt, fish and work on vehicles. He was an outdoorsman and spent a lot of time driving in the mountains of Polk County. He especially loved spending time with his boys.

He is survived by his sons, Austin Bivens and Chase Bivens; father, Terry Ray Bivens, Sr.; mother, Carolyn Burnett-Bivens; sister, Melissa (David) Crowe; brothers, Rick Childs, Keith Childs and Matthew Bivens. Nieces and nephews also survive.

A Memorial Service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, TN with Reverend James Goss officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the funeral home prior to the service.
