Thomas Andrew (Andy) Higdon, 33, a resident of Benton, passed away Monday, June 25, 2007 in Murray County, Georgia due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a member of the Pine Ridge Baptist Church. He was a graduate of the class of 1990 of Copper Basin High School. He was employed with Mohawk Extrusions. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Lowell Higdon; step son, Kyle Conner; grandparents: Doris and Bill Morgan, Alice and Wheeler Higdon; great-grandparents, Robert and Mae Bell.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Higdon of Benton; mother, Rita Sue Higdon of Copperhill; step children: Justin and Katey Conner of Benton; one sister, Pam Etheridge of Chatsworth, Georgia; three special cousins, Karen Epperson, Layne Epperson and Slade Epperson of Epworth, Georgia; aunt, Regina Garrett of Copperhill.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Daniels and Reverend Art Thornton officiating. Interment will follow in Old Ocoee Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

His family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
