Lucille Hall Pirkle, 85, a life long resident of Bradley and Polk Counties passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 in a local health care facility. She worked at Hardwick Clothes for 14 years, but was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of Patty Church of Christ and former member of Eastside Church of Christ. She was a breast cancer survivor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lake and Allie Eaves Burris; first husband of 38 years, Cecil Hall; 2nd husband of 17 years, Jesse "J.M." Martin Pirkle; brother, Lafon Burris; and granddaughter, Karen Barker. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Hall Pirkle and husband, Tommy of Lebanon; sons, Jerry Hall and wife, Rita of FL and Dale Hall and wife, Donna of Delano; grandchildren, Eric Pirkle, Aaron Pirkle and wife, Karen, Ryan Hall and wife, Stacey, Jarred Hall, James Hall, Jordan Hall, Justin Hall, Deidra Hall, Delaney Hall, Daley Hall, Daniel Hall, Michelle Wallace and husband, Jim and Jennifer Muhl and husband, Dave; great grandchildren, Alicia Barker Beck, Freddie Barker Beck, Madelyn Pirkle, Natalie Pirkle, Hannah Pirkle, Alani Hall, Natalie Hall, Allison Hall, Emily Hall, Jaelyn Hall, Kenley Muhl and Bredan Muhl; and brother, Roy Lee Burris of Delano. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Minister Franklin Hyberger officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens with Eric Pirkle, Aaron Pirkle, Jarred Hall, Ted Wilson, Gilbert Firestone and Richard Harrison serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 20, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 at the funeral home prior to the service. The family requests that memorials be made to the Patty Church of Christ, Floyd Eaves, 240 Eaves Drive, Benton,TN 37307, the American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421 or the Church of Christ Disaster Relief, Inc., 410 Allied Drive, Nashville, TN 37211.
