Vicky Stephens, 50, of Benton, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014, in an Athens healthcare facility. She was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her mother, Lena Geneva Burns Prince. She is survived by her father, Robert Hughes of Decatur; daughter, Keena and husband Jonathan Dalton of Sweetwater; brothers, Robbie Hughes and Stacy Prince,both of Cleveland, and grandson Eli Dalton of Sweetwater. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2014, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Paul White officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2014, at the funeral home.
