Vondell Morgan, 81, of Reliance, departed this life peacefully on June 22, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family.

She was born on August 20, 1942, in Reliance, Tennessee to the late Joseph and Beulah Merrell Crumley.

Throughout life, Ms. Vondell enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and taking care of her family. She was a lifetime member of Hiwassee Union Baptist Church.

Loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her, she will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Joseph and Beulah Merrell Crumley, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Tina Morgan and Crystal Morgan; great grandson, Brooks Frey; sisters, Oleta Burchfield, Anita Lee, Mary Allen, Willonell Green and Baby Joyce; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in law.

Left to cherish the many memories include her beloved husband, of 61 years, John Henry Morgan; loving children, Angela (Tim) Vaughn and Johnny (Tonya) Morgan; adored grandchildren, Joshua (Marcie) Parker, Leslie (Josh) Waldroup, Heather Vaughn, Megan (Justin) Frey and John Morgan; cherished great-grandchildren, Braxton Parker, Eli Waldroup, Mason Martin, Hadley Waldroup, Karsen Frey and Ember Frey; sister, Elizabeth Carroll. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in law and a host of friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home of Benton with Pastor Don Padgett and Pastor Peter Morgan officiating.

Family and friends will gather from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
