Walter “Bobby” Summers Jr., 78, of Ocoee, departed this life peacefully on May 8, 2026, at a local healthcare facility.

Bobby was born on August 29, 1947, to the late Walter Rosser Summers Sr., and Beulah Jean Tucker Newton.

Throughout life, he was an avid fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed watching old westerns. His favorite color was red. Bobby was a farmer for most of his life and had a passion for roller skating, dancing, and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Walter Summers Sr., and Beulah Tucker Newton, he was preceded in death by one nephew, James Sanislo; one great-nephew, Alex Forristal.

Left to cherish the many memories include his beloved wife, Flora Kay Waller Summers; siblings, Juda (James) Peter, Juanita (Bill) Sanislo, Elsa Gabriel, Mona Hubbard (Jim Bartell), and Evelyn Nemec (Andy Shelfer). Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home of Benton, with Pastor Robert Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Newton Family Cemetery, with Travis Close, Nicholas Sanislo, Ian Hedding, Trent Hedding, and Skylar Allen serving as pallbearers.

His family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) prior to the service at the funeral home.
