Willa Dean Trentham Duggan, 63, a lifelong resident of Benton, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Born on March 3, 1962, in Athens, Tennessee, she was the cherished daughter of Johnnie Sue Shelton Walden and the late James Marvin Trentham.

Willa Dean was a devoted member of the Baptist faith and had a deep love for her family, especially her son, Chuck. She was passionate about fishing and was an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers. Her presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Marvin "J.M." Trentham, her brother, Jeffrey J. Trentham, and her stepfather, Ode Walden. She leaves behind her loving husband, Tony Duggan; her son, Chuck Meyers; her mother, Johnnie Sue Shelton Walden; her stepchildren, Jennifer (Jamie) Beavers and Cynthia (Darren) Davis; and her grandchildren, Erica Chambers, Avery Beavers, Easton Davis, Kendra (Keith) Hixson, Brittany (John McKeelen) Trentham, Amanda (Danny Burgess) Trentham, Sydney Helton, Dalton Helton, Jean Helton, Jada Helton, and Graceland Helton. She is also survived by her siblings, Charlene (Gary) Helton and Scotty (Tonya) Trentham, as well as several great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Higgins Funeral Home of Benton, followed by a graveside committal service at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Benton Town Cemetery, with her family serving as pallbearers. Her family received friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
