Willie Katherine (Griffin) Lightfoot, 84, a lifelong resident of Benton, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at McMinn Memorial Nursing Home. She was a member of Old Ocoee Baptist Church of Benton. She was preceded in death by her husband: Rollin Lightfoot, daughter: Linda Faye Lightfoot, her parents: Atla and Nancy Wiley Griffin, and three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by a daughter: Nancy Hinkle and husband Dale of Madisonville, son: Ronnie and wife Annie Lightfoot of Benton, three sisters-in-law: Pat Griffin of Atlanta, Bea Rodgers of Cleveland, and Pat Griffin of Point Orange, FL, brother-in-law: David Ogle of Daytona Beach, FL and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Friday, June 15, 2012 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend W. L. Shipman and Reverend Harold Firestone officiating. Interment will be Saturday, June 16 at 11:00 A.M. at Brock Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 Friday, June 15, 2012 at the funeral home prior to the service.
