Wilma L. Dale, 91, a life long resident of Benton, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the family residence. She was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God.

Mrs. Dale was the daughter of the late Clayborn Gibson and Carrie Lee Wilson Gibson and was also preceded in death by her husband, Grover Swanson and her sister, Billie Martin.

She is survived by her three children and spouses: Jack and Augustine Swanson of Benton, Grover and Betty Swanson of Reliance and James Swanson of Madisonville; ten grandchildren; one sister, Joy Tilson of Etowah; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Ted Simpson officiating. Interment will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Benton Memorial Gardens.

Her family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday October 15, 2008 at the funeral home prior to the service.
